This world is running out of love
But remember that God is above
And His love is forever timeless
Can't you see soceity's blindness
Damage of all the lost humanity
Sex trafficking, drug dealing, and poverty
This is what we know and see,
As we sit back letting all this be?
Everyone is like the sand
Slipping through the fingers on your hand
Our hearts are like concrete stone
No body elses sin we will ever condone
Pull the log out of your own eyes
And finally see your reflection and realize
Where are the hands and feet of God
When little Timmy got molested by his uncle Todd
And growing up in house with two mothers
He felt much different from all the others
Searching for a love he didn't understand
Was finally found in another man named Stan
Did anyone see her take her father's beating
Or the way that Alison wasn't ever eating
How about all the scars on her wrists
Maybe even watched her cry while her mind twists
Was there anyone besides God ever around
Sixteen, her coffin buried six foot deep in the ground
No one was ever there for them
To tell 'em of a future when
They could be set free
Praying on their knees, "take all of me."
But who was there to say
That they didn't have to pay
So how could they know
The cross is where to go
That it is with Him that you are worthy
And in Him you'll find your beauty
No one else can save the day
Out of sin and darkness He's the Truth, the Light, the Way
Don't be good girls and good boys
God isn't santa clause who gives out toys
Like glass He can see right through
And He'll know if your hearts are true
Be the body, be the man with nails in His hands
A revolution where passion and love stands
With a sword in his mouth and tatts on His thighs
He will speak but a word and rid the world of lies
He says stop what you are doing, come, and follow me
But my path is full of thorns, cluttered in filth, its dirty
I know you'll fail and fall away; I already paid that price
Know me; The I Am, King of Kings, Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ!

Welcome into my life in the form of a blog
Adrielle Marie Chatfield, also known as Elle Chatfield. Writing about my life isn't what first comes to my mind when I think of my lists of things I want to do. Why am I doing this? You can say for my family, my health, or even really having a lack of a social life. I am a sophomore in college attending Hope International University, which has a grand population of 600. The community is small the classes are even smaller. I have a schedule holding five classes, fifteen credits, and as of two days ago a part-time job. My Monday-Wednesday classes are Intro to Psychology, and Public Speaking; both could be considered a writers nightmare. Writers write
so they can sit in the back of the classroom and seem like they are taking notes and being a "good" learnt student while at the same time writing their novels and getting great grade without ever having to speak up or answer aloud in class. Tuesday and Thursdays are a bit longer for me having three classes in the day. After group or chapel depending on that day, I would go to History to 1500, World Literature of the 1650's, and finally Early Christian History and Literature, which I am sitting in right now as I write to you.
Chatting about the preaching in Samaria and the important distinction of why it was necessary for Peter and John to pray and lay hands on the Samaritan Christians to receive the Holy Spirit is something that is redundant and extremely boring for me to listen to. When you grow up in a family that's roots are in the Church of Christ and tradition holds solid there are some things about the Bible that start turning dull and over taught. Don't fret about my slacking-in-class because after all I am a writer and getting good grades while writing to you and being a seemingly extravagantly "good" student is what we writers do best.
To know a few things about myself I have to start with my family, at least the immediate ones. My mother is the most tender hearted, soft spoken, book nerd lady you could ever meet. It could be said my father is the opposite; passionate, outgoing, hyper, and a gaming nerd. You would think I would fall somewhere in the middle or even lean toward either of their personalities but on the contrary I fall under both 100%. I am a person that is never settled completely in the middle about anything for example; I am a sweetheart or a cold-callous witch, I am hyper or extremely depressed, and passionate and outgoing but shy and reserved...you get the idea.
The other important factor about my life is my younger sister, Alexis. She is 15 years old, a junior in High school, and couldn't be more opposite than myself. For you English majors you could say she is my foil. I happen to be very protective of my sister and as a result I have realize that I can be quite harsh with her at times. I would kill for her, and die for her, but at the same time I fear that I will always be picking up her mess or am otherwise very hurt by her and haven't yet forgiven her for some of the things that have taken place in our past. So, in all reality, I blame myself for most of them happening. I could have stopped them from ever taking place and instead I made poor choices.
As a result I have learned that life is a web and we connect in some form or another as a result from every step and decision we make. We are all spiders designing a web whether good or bad will bring about what ends up getting caught in it. Some of us disconnect their webs and let it fly away in the wind and they'll start over, and some people will stay because that's all they know what to live by but not me. People like me make our webs and when we try to crawl away we get caught in them. It is usually because of a person we can not leave behind, or finding someone we thought to be new and fresh who is connected to one of the people you knew from your old web. What happens when the spider instead of the fly gets wound up and bound to it's own web? This is a blog about my life and the web I have created and am still making.
If you would like to come along I should warn you to be careful or you might get caught up in my web. Otherwise I am convinced you'll be rather amused, not only by myself but rather the many people in my life.

Death For two Please
This summer I lost both my great grandma Vernie and great grandpa Rocky or as I called him Zah Zah, which is grandfather in polish. In most families i know people in my generation aren't close to their great grandparents but for mine we all were close. In early july my grandma vernie died. There was no greater woman alive and there is no woman alive now that you can convince me of being a better person than my grandma. You can think its just because she is my grandma and everyone says they own grandma is the best just like how people say "my grandma's cookies are better than anyone else's" no matter how true or not that is. I'm going to tell you that not only can i say that she was the best person alive or dead but so were her cookies. If you want proof i promise you that anyone who has met her either for a year or even for a day will tell you the same. My grandma's specialty laid in her love and her cooking. She cooked for churches, camps, an impossibly large family with friends, for the homeless, the neighborhood, and also the olympics. Her famous cinnamon rolls are known all over and to this day i can no longer have a cinnamon roll that isn't my grandma's because honestly they pale in comparison. There could be sixteen people over for breakfast and she would ask each person what they wanted as if you were at a resteraunt. Not only would she cook for each individual but everyone ate at the same time and everytime it was more than amazing. My grandparents were poor most of their lives but some how there was always enough for everyone plus the neighborhood and so on. You tell me that my grandma isn't the best cook ever. My grandma wasn't just cook she was something to be aspired to and there is a reason why you can ask any of the family who their role model or hero is and we all grandma vernie without skipping a beat. She went through obstacles as if they weren't there to begin with. One time she started a football team for the neighborhood and she played as well. She would go out with her friends, catch a bus and watch the hollywood bowl because she could. what was stopping her? Every opportunity she would grab onto no matter how random it might seem. It was always "why not?" or "because i can." Mostly I remember her out flow of love she had for everyone. She never judged you and was always there for you. The floor in her house would be covered with people who needed a place to stay the night and get some food. Her presence alone made you want to strive to be a better person and have a better heart or simply just to love more. Even when her body was failing her and she couldn't talk for the last five years of her life she changed people's lives without ever talking or cooking. Her eyes read you like a book but loved your every page. It is her beautiful blue eyes that passed down to most of her entire family including me. Not only that but its because she was the best christian example i know of that made our entire families faith even Zah Zah's who grew up catholic but through grandma's patients and love became one of the best christian men i know of. Their faith carried all of this through. You always saw her light up when cooking or with family but you never have seen her glow until she is worshipping the Lord. Faith like rock i was sure she would be able to walk on water if Jesus had asked her to. You also have never seen true love unless you saw zah zah and grandma together. I know that the meaning love between a man and woman would be lost to me if i never known them. To this day they are the only couple that has made me believe that true love is real and possible. Zah Zah would sing and serenade my grandma all the time and i mean would bellow out so that the world would hear his love for her. He sung to her until the day she died. He held her hand and kissed her though she couldn't walk or talk in her late years. He knew every word she was thinking and would fight himself for her saying "Rock dont you do it." His mind was fading but he found solid ground around grandma not forgetting one thing that surrounded her existance. He held her hand going to bed and never let go til' morning. He would walk up and down the street, come back and tell us that he walked ten miles then turn to her and say i walked a thousand to come see you and i'd walk a thousand more to kiss you. I wish my grandma was still here because there are so many questions that i wasn't old enough to ask and now that i am i would ask her "how did you do it, what is your secret to finding true love like Zah?" "Tell me grandma does love just happen on a lucky chance or is ever growing in the way you love a man?" There is no person on this earth who has influenced me more in who i strive to become than these two people and if they knew that, they would say is love and stay faithful to God because thats who they strove to be. God was so strong in them that merely there presence could effect those around them and draw them in and closer to God and thats what i wish to do. and so i thank the both of them for everything they left behind and am glad that they are no longer suffering and are finally in there true home.
